Workplace Essentials Donates Generous Supply of Napkins & Tampons to Marshall University Womens Studies Initiative

Donated sanitary napkins and tampons, in individual and discreet boxes made from recycled paper, being shipped to the women’s center initiative at Marshall University.

When Linda Pace, President of Workplace Essentials, heard of Marshall University’s women’s studies program’s initiative to provide feminine hygiene products to students who can’t readily afford them, she was immediately inspired to take action. “All young girls deserve the opportunity to further their education. We are hoping this small gesture will help eliminate one stressor from the day-to-day challenges these young women face, so they are able to focus on their academic goals. “ said Pace.

In a conversation with Laura Michele Diener, the Director of Women’s Studies, she explained that an on-campus Women’s Center has been created to provide feminine sanitary products to all students in need, at no charge. “I am so passionate about this cause because the need is just so overwhelming”, stated Diener.

On September 29, 2015, Workplace Essentials responded to this initiative by shipping a generous donation of 1,000 sanitary napkins and 2,000 tampons to Huntington, West Virginia. “We see this as a great opportunity to kick-start their drive by sending a bulk amount of sanitary products, which we hope will impact this worthy cause” Pace stated.
